To visit

Valle delle cartiere
This stroll is recommended especially in summer for its natural freshness and easy route of about an hour.

Traveling along the historic Valley, an area active with its "paper factories" since the 1300s, you will experience the charm of this wild place, where you can go fishing in the river and visit the paper museum.

The Hermitage of
St. Valentine
From Gargnano, take the road going up the hill to the village of Sasso and park your car.

The trail leads to romantic St. Valentine's Hermitage in about 50 minutes, offering a breathtaking view of the lake!

Tradition tells that in 1630 Gargnano inhabitants fled to the mountains to escape the plague.

In gratitude, the survivors of the infection built the charming little stone sanctuary overlooking the lake. We recommend (especially with children) bringing sack lunches for a picnic surrounded by nature!
Isola del Garda
Sailing lovers will enjoy visiting our lake with Navigarda boats and hydrofoils or may rent a boat (even without a license).
You can admire the coast and the magnificent villas, Garda island and isola dei conigli (rabbit island) the port of St. Vigilio, a popular destination for Churchill and many painters. We recommend a cocktail at sunset, Gardone Riviera, Salo and Sirmione with their lovely shops, or just relaxing in the middle of the blue lake gently rocked by the waves!
